Dear Brethren,

Gospel Light is looking forward to seeing what the Lord will do one week from today! Last year the Lord fed over 400 souls and 400 hungry tummies so please get there early.

For a seat. Many churches are talking/praying and social networks are buzzing with many in expectation of a blessed time in the Lord!

Philemon 1:20 Yea, brother, let me have joy of thee in the Lord: refresh my bowels in the Lord.

A lover of good men, Bro. Vince Giardino

An E-mail Message from Pastor Giardino

My beloved Gospel Light and friends!

I’m so excited about the results of Family Camp 2011! The “newbie’s” that went by … some faith … to a strange place 3 hours out of town and followed my lead along with YOU promoting Family Camp, LOVED IT! Even Pastor Massa said they’ll probably have 50+ if the Lord Tarries for Family Camp 2012, for his “newbie’s” loved it. Talking about The Lord’s eminent return… the Jewish

Pentecost for 2011 falls on June 12th, just a week from this coming Lord’s Day! Wouldn’t it be something if Jesus appeared in the clouds while we were in church while Dr. Sam Gipp was preaching … how cool is that thought! There are “better things” to think about isn’t there.. ( tongue and cheek!)??

Let’s me say some things about this coming week and preparing for our Bible Conference. I’m slammed with details like never before, Please pray for me and my family as we are on an extremely fast-track to prepare many details. If you can help decorate for a theme for the KING JAMES 400th anniversary to be in place for Friday the 10th, please see my wife. I’ll probably want them in place for weeks ahead at this middle juncture of the year albeit JUNE 2011.

CHALLENGE: Please consider FASTING from tv/movies before and during our special meetings with Dr. Gipp, starting this SUNDAY NIGHT!!! Maybe it’s something ADDITIONAL that you could FAST from to get your SPIRIT ready for the sermons you’ll be hearing. I’ m requesting for you to be in the number for FULL SERVICES for the HOLY GHOST to touch your heart in this very crucial time of our ministry. On WEDNESDAY we’ll once again fast as a CHURCH, Tuesday 9pm –Wed. 9pm! Please invite others from saved to lost to come to our ministry. With a running start from those challenged and changed from Family Camp this could “trigger” revival in our church and spread to our Christian community of like faiths!!

Remember a low aim NEVER hit a high mark!

Eph 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.

Once again, please push yourself to be at ALL church services. Maybe you don’t even realize you need a BOOST, a REVIVAL, a CHALLENGE, and MORE OF GOD! The encouragement and victory you can obtain is all up to you BY SHOWING UP! Don’t let your private pain, the “funk” your presently in STEAL what the LORD has prepared for you starting this coming Lord’s Day. I’m excited for you “reaching forth” and forgetting those things which are behind (Phil 3:13). “ Forget about it”!! Please be circumspect with the evil that will subtlety creep in and steal your joy and time as we enter this busy week! (1 Pet 5:8-9)

It’s time to shake off your sloth for Jesus may come soon! Even so come Lord Jesus…QUICKLY!

Eph 5:16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

BTW>>> This coming Sunday night service … testimonies from Family Camp and a short charge from myself … all as the Lord wills it.

Love You’all, Pastor G

Church-Wide Fast and Prayer

In case you have not yet been made aware, Pastor Giardino has asked for church-wide fasting: Tuesday 9 PM until Wednesday 9 PM (starting just hours from now). Gospel Light members are being asked to fast for 24 hours and to pray for the success and indwelling of the Holy Spirit in the activities of this coming weekend. For those on Pastor’s e-mail list, they received this admonition: “This fasting is for the Lord to work at our Men’s breakfast, Ladies meeting, and our special meetings with Pastor Vince Massa!”

Youth Ablaze 2011 is now in the history books, so to speak. For a sampling of the fruit produced during this event, head on over to Julia G.’s blog, where she provides a stirring testimony.

For those who weren’t here last year (2010) for Pastor Appreciation Day, this video captured the crowning moment.

Sunday evening service at Gospel Light saw Pastor Vince Giardino pleading with Mateo and Bonnie for at least “ten minutes to preach”, after our appreciation ceremonies exhausted most of the time at the morning service. Our pastor was supercharged by the Holy Spirit to feed his flock with the Word. But patience is a virtue and Pastor G. was again required to be virtuous, at least for a bit longer:

  • Youth Pastor Peter Bard led the debut of the Kid’s Choir, which gathered up front. With Michael G. at the piano, eleven young children sang, “Lord You’ve Been So Good” and “God Has Been So Good To Me”.
  • Grayson once again stepped to the pulpit, rhythm guitar in hand, for an encore performance of the song he sang to Pastor G. in the morning service. It was just as entertaining the second time around.
  • Mateo had three more appreciation letters to read, this time from Dave Spurgeon, Ken McDonald, and Sam Gipp.
  • We saw an encore performance of “Pastor’s Song” sung by the adult choir, again with Bonnie conducting and Michael at the piano.

Pastor Giardino spent his time at the pulpit giving tribute to his church. Having just seen the marvelous unity of the choir and having witnessed a day of unity with the congregation, Pastor wished to salute the people of Gospel Light. Our ministry is made easier when “everything is tuned” and people are “singing lustily unto the Lord”, he noted. Further, he gloried in the church striving together, being like-minded, and being of one accord. Pastor looked forward to the cohesion getting even better and more powerful with our church’s greatest days ahead of us. Pastor’s sermon included a warning to be on guard against Satan, who would “like nothing more than to divide up churches with quarrels and strife.” Like the saints in Acts 1:14, Pastor asked that we be “with one accord in prayer and supplication”.

“Restore New York” Legislative Day

Come to Albany for the Tuesday, March 15, “Restore New York” Legislative Day event.

The event will be held in the Convention Center at the Empire State Plaza (Albany, NY).

New Yorker’s Family Research Foundation and New Yorkers for Constitutional Freedoms invite you to this year’s “Restore New York” Legislative Day event. With speakers like David Barton, founder and president of Wallbuilders, attendees will be reminded of America’s forgotten history and heroes, with an emphasis on the moral, religious, and constitutional foundation on which America was built.

Members of Gospel Light Bible Baptist Church and friends are encouraged to attend. Contact Pastor Vince Giardino if you would like to be a part of his traveling caravan.
