More about prayer…

Did you know that Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour, prays on our behalf?

Before being handed over to be crucified, Jesus prayed to His Father to keep and preserve his disciples. Christ then prayed for the church to come, those who hear His word and believe on him: Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. John 17:20-23

We have an advocate in Jesus; He is there in heaven at the right hand of God the Father making intercession for us, his saints here on earth: Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. Romans 8:34
